Five dead in Iraq attacks

Five people were killed, including a police officer, on Saturday in two separate attacks in Iraq.

An Iraqi security source said that “unidentified gunmen stormed the house in Swaib south-west of Baghdad belonging to a traffic police officer holding the rank of captain."

They opened fire inside the house which led to the death of the officer, his wife and two of his sons.

Security sources also reported that unknown gunmen shot dead a woman who was standing in front of her house in the Hayy al-Mithaq neighborhood in eastern Mosul before fleeing the scene.
