Half of the world's 10 fattest countries are in the Middle East, a new study has claimed
The BioMedical Study study claims that Kuwaitis are the second largest people in the world, behind only the United States.
Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were also all represented in the top 10.
The study claimed that in the United States and Kuwait there is only 12.2 and 12.9 people per tonne respectively, compared with 20.2 in Bangladesh and 19.8 in Nepal.
Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE and Bahrain all had higher average calorie intake per person than the US but its citizens were deemed thinner overall.
