Israeli bulldozers demolished two homes in the West Bank village of Barta’a south of Jenin, the Palestinian News Network reported Wednesday.

Israeli forces raided the village and declared it a closed military zone, the owner of the houses Ahmad Omar Qabaha said, before destroying the houses, claiming that the residents had failed to secure a building permit.

The houses were demolished with the contents inside, Qabaha was quoted as saying.

The bulldozers also demolished barracks for livestock by the residence, as well as a room still under construction.

The houses covered around 170 square meters and housed seven family members.

They were recently completed by Qabaha, who built the home for his brother Mustafa ahead of his wedding, Ma’an News Agency reported.

Four previous demolition notices were issued to Qabaha over the past three years. The most recent was given last week.

Over the last two months, 10 houses have been demolished in Barta’a al-Sharqiya under the pretext of being built without a permit.

Roughly 94 percent of Palestinian applications for building permits are rejected, according to the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions.

The group estimates that Israeli authorities have demolished about 27,000 Palestinian structures in the West Bank since 1967.

And we Americans wonder why they hate us.

People don't hate America because we're free (though that's debatable) they hate us because we're unfair.
