Saudi files police complaint against "demons"

Published Wednesday, August 8, 2012

A Saudi citizen filed a formal complaint at a police station accusing "demons" of trying to set fire to his house and car.

Newspaper al-Hayat reported on its website that Ali Mohawi from the village of Talaa Naza near Jabal Radwa in the west of the Kingdom "tried several times to ban demons and jinn from attacking his property."

According to the site, Mohawi emptied his house and moved to his son's house next door, but said that demons continued to threaten him by throwing stones at his house and setting fire to parts of his home and car.

The "demons" also allegedly sprayed cooking oil onto the walls of his house.

The police responded favorably to Mohawi's complaint and delivered his complaint to Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, at his request.

It is unsure what measure authorities will take.
