From source in Sirte who took part:

He was killed while trying to escape via a drainage pipe in Sirte by Misratah brigade.

Along with him was his def minister (dead) and his son Mutassim (dead).

All the bodies have been taken to city of Misratah.

My sources are CONFIRMING he's dead. Killed in ground action Sirte. Sorry - might be late coming. Lots going on - was hard to reach them.
