An explosion has hit a bus in Tel Aviv near the Israeli Defense Ministry, injuring at least 25 people, while Israeli media say a suspect has been arrested.

The bombing comes amid a vicious ceasefire-breaking Israeli offensive that has killed 141 Palestinians, and injured more than 1,100. No Palestinian party has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.

Mosques throughout Gaza have sounded news about the explosion through their loudspeakers.

Hamas has lauded the attack, calling it a natural response to Israel's slaughter of the Al-Daloo family, and other Palestinian civilians over the last eight days.

The explosion's location suggests the Defense Ministry was the target of the attack.

Jerusalem TV has just reported that a new explosion has hit Tel Aviv.

More to follow.
