From rubber bullets, to gas canisters, to real rounds of ammunition, Egypt' new ruling military spared no resources Sunday cracking down on protesters demanding a transfer of power from military rule to civilian one.

People braved eye-burning smoke and flesh-piercing bullets on streets and squares, and rushed to help those who fell in the battle.
