Al-Akhbar Management

On Labor Day, which falls on the first of May, we want to give tribute to the noble people who are the base of our economy and are now demanding justice. The protests for better wages and workers rights continue in Beirut. Despite the debates on the impact a pay raise might have on the economy, the exploitation of workers remains the same. In Lebanon and the Arab world the rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer. Today, workers around the world stand together, calling out in one voice for the basic right to make a decent living in exchange for their hard work.
