Al-Akhbar Management

Following a mild winter, interrupted by blasts of cold chills and storms, spring has finally arrived in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. In an area where Lebanese residents, Syrian refugees, and Bedouins face an almost daily barrage of rockets and airstrikes originating from neighbouring Syria, its natural beauty can sometimes go unnoticed. Al-Akhbar spent some time capturing moments of this year's emerging spring, from the blossoming of trees, to the sun-kissed faces of those who tolerated the cold weather.
