A Palestinian teenager died Wednesday after sustaining injuries from Israel's viscious assault on the Gaza Strip last month.

Ahmad bin Saed, 19, died in an Egyptian hospital where he was being treated for shrapnel wounds from an Israeli airstrike.

The strike on the town of al-Masdar in Central Gaza on November 17 also killed his father.

More than 170 Palestinians were killed in the eight-day offensive on the Gaza Strip, and six Israelis were killed by rocket fire from Gaza.

Bin Saed's body will be transported to Gaza for a funeral later on Wednesday.
