Israeli assault on Palestinians: Live Coverage

The Kuwait News Agency reports that more Arab officials have publicly condemned the Israeli attack on Gaza, albeit after two days of silence since it started.

The report states:

In Abu-Dhabi the UAE Foreign Ministry strongly denounced the Israeli military offensive and the repeated aggressions on the Palestinian people in the occupied territories.
"The UAE condemns in the strongest terms the recent series of air raids launched by the Israeli occupation authorities on Gaza Strip which claimed large numbers of casualties among the Palestinian people," a statement by the Ministry said. "The UAE reaffirms rejection of all forms of violence, including the measures of collective punishment, which result in loss of civilian lives," it added.
On his part, Tunisian Interim President Moncef Marzouki renewed full solidarity with the Palestinian people in their current ordeal due to the Israeli aggression.
In a phone conversation with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Marzouki mulled ways for lobbying for an urgent measures by regional and international key players to stop "the brutal Israeli aggression," according to a Tunisian presidential statement.

In addition, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry released a statement on their FB page harshly condemning the attack.

Here is a rough translation of the statement:

Tunisia strongly condemns the grave Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in a number of deaths and injuries among Palestinian civilians. Tunisia renews her stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and we call on the international community and the UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities and exact an urgent intervention to get the Israeli government to immediately cease these unexplained attacks, which aim to further destroy the Palestinian people's scarce resources and threaten to put the entire region once again on the brink of implosion.
