Paris, an international city

In Paris, you do not know who is waiting for whom, traffic lights face pedestrians, soft rain pours down – shy and forgiving – the eyes of children lifted towards God in the suburbs.

At times, it is difficult to differentiate between passers-by and the traveled road, and between the tables of cafes, whose patrons become part of them. You also cannot tell who chooses the other: the houseless or the sidewalk, the musician or his stand.

Paris is an optical illusion, one bloc that tinctures its people with its colors: native residents, immigrants, metro workers, artists and everyone else. You will find the world in it, wandering calmly from Montmartre to the bridge.

During the day, clouds graze the land to guard the river, and at night lights shimmer as if the city is fighting sleep on behalf of the world. Paris is a woman in a painting, a big museum, a city of the world.
